Did you know the word parenting is taken from the Latin root that means to bring forth?
What a cool approach to parenting. I had always thought the key to raising a child was keeping them under control. When in reality, my purpose is really to bring out God's purpose in my children and help them discover that revelation.
Our example for this is none other than God Himself. Just look at the way He treated and parented Abraham. God had to parent Abraham to bring forth the potential he couldn't see. Before Abraham could bring forth Isaac, God had to bring forth Abraham.
And today, I believe God is trying to bring forth what He's already put in you. Abraham believed and so became. Isaac was in Abraham all along.
Today, you may be struggling with addiction, but God is calling forth freedom. You may have debt, but God is calling forth provision. You may be lacking in grace toward those you love, but God is calling forth a supply unlike anything you've ever experienced before. It's time to bring it forth!
