Hebrews 10:19
"Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus...
Maybe you know the feeling of losing confidence in your relationship with the Lord. Maybe you feel like your actions in the past or your behavior in the present is hindering your confidence in approaching Him.
The good news is that you can have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place.
What is the Most Holy Place? It was the place where only the high priest could go ā and even he couldn't go in the wrong way, or he wouldn't come out alive!
So how can you have the confidence to enter in?
"... by the blood of Jesus,
by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his
body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us
draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that
faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty
conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water." (Hebrews 10:19-22)
This
is the new covenant, God's promise to you: Jesus is your confidence.
He's the only confidence you truly have, and He's all the confidence you
will ever need. You haven't always been faithful to Him, but He has
always been faithful to you.The context of your relationship with God is not your behavior. It's the blood of His Son that has already been shed. When those drops of blood hit the ground, grace covered your sin. His compassion covered all the wrong things you have ever done and ever will do.
So go in to the presence of God with your head held high ā you're not a slave to fear. You're a child of God.
