I congratulate you on the Supreme Court judgement upholding your election by the good people of Rivers State.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed please continue and speedily complete the good works of infrastructural development which we have been seeing on social media in the past few months. Please note that we will not appreciate pictures for propaganda sake. All roads and drainages must be world standard so that we don’t have to spend scarce resources on those roads again after one raining season.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed hastily put your political differences with the Honourable Minister of Transport aside and partner with him to fix the Port Harcourt International Airport. I am sure you agree that the Airport is a nightmare. While you are on it, do not forget that the waiting lounge (after the security screening point) for Local Departures have no toilets.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed please ensure you practice and promote a sound maintenance culture. All the existing good roads and model schools in Rivers State must be maintained.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed you must quickly tackle the issue of kidnapping, cultism and communal clashes in River State. Can’t you see that the insecurity is chasing businesses and companies away? There is no way your IGR will grow in the face of insecurity. Please learn from the sad story of Warri and the good story of Lagos and bring back the glory of Port Harcourt.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed you should cooperate with security agencies to curb the menace of pipelines vandalism within your jurisdiction. The Country counts on you to protect our common inheritance.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed Do not forget to design policies that will create jobs for our youths (Agriculture, Oil Palm farming, Fishing and cassava comes to mind). It is unacceptable for the Youth in Rivers State to think that idleness is a virtue, simply because companies and individuals pay them “matching ground” and like fees. Remember a song that was dedicated to Rivers State – Land Lord Travel and See. There is a big lesson in the lyrics for all youths in Rivers State.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed Please visit Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State and copy/paste the giant strides he achieved in Health. Especially the world class primary and secondary health facilities he built within the last 4 years. Ondo state has a citizens identification card that gives access to free medical services to pregnant women (pre and post natal) and the aged.
#NowThatYourVictoryisConfirmed You must provide good leadership and show example on how NOT to be corrupt. Transparency must be your best friend. Integrity must not depart from your presence and genuine love for your people must remain in your heart at all times. If you do these, Rivers State will be great again. Posterity and History will never forget you.
