NOW IS THE TIME

A woman became pregnant and during child birth she had complications; and the doctor tells her “It is either I save you, or the baby.” Even in her confusion and pain, she screams “save my baby” Now that is Love. Love is not that powerful emotions we feel towards someone or something because we can place a face to it; Love is giving up your life for a baby you haven't even met , that is what we call unconditional love. As humans,we all want love. But,
how can we find love or love others if we don't know what love is or where it came from. 1 John 4 tells us all about love;that God is love and love is from God; meaning for us to know and have unconditional love, we must know and have God in our lives. 1 John 4 verse 16b (NKJV) says "God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him".

Alright  i know we all have heard this before but that doesn't stop us from talking about it until we all have the real deal. Let all take a moment to reflect on the greatest sacrifice ever made because of love. John 3:16 tell us that "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". That is the power of love. Love made God send His only son to take our place on the cross, Love  made God send his only son to redeem us of our sins and that same power of love made Jesus do it. Jesus could have let the cup pass over him but because of the love he felt for us he chose to die for our sins.  He died so we could leave in grace,  He died so we can be free from enternal condemnation,  He died so we will not suffer, He died because he loves us; but the big question is, how willing are we to accept this beautiful gift and how willing are to proclaim Jesus to the world. Most of the times even when we have accepted him into our lives we still find it difficult to tell others about him. We often think how can I tell them about Jesus without sounding too spiricoco ( a slang in Nigeria about been spiritual to the extreme) or offensive to people. Why worry if they call you crazy or too Christlike, yes Christianity is a way of life and believers aspire to belike Christ. He died and loved us even before we were born, He did all this for us without bothering if we accept him or not, so why worry about what others think of you because you are telling them of the greatest love story ever. I understand all the factors against wanting to preach the gospel because even as I started to write this I was wondering how I can write this and not come across as a church girl, what the heck, yes I am a church girl so why not tell it the way it is; not how others think I should tell it. If telling you about the love of Christ makes me unsocial then so be it, I was made for this purpose.
This is a time to proclaim Jesus without reservation and also to show love to other people even when they are not believers because how else can you preach about love and sacrifice if we are not willing to show love,  we need to lead by example. Matthew 5:16 says " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. What this passage is saying is that, it is our way of life that will artract others to want to live, be like you and adore that God you serve. Check your life how nice have you being to others in recent times, have you done something for anyone without being boastful or expecting something thing in return. Take time out of your busy schedule and do something nice for a total stranger without expecting anything in return not even a thank you, tell someone about the unconditional love of God, let them see the light of God in you, tell them God is love, and to find love, all they need to do is find God.
Happy Sunday All!!!!!
